Sankofa Dynamics is the name of our startup that is developing innovative atmospheric water generators using energy-efficient technology and built with repurposed or post-consumer low-value materials to provide drinking water or indoor dehumidification.

The Problem

Increasingly underserved communities are experiencing exposure to contaminated drinking water due to local municipalities’ inability to maintain aging infrastructure, which citizens rely on. Additionally, climate change is disrupting weather and water patterns globally, leading to shortages and droughts in certain regions and flooding in others.

At the current consumption rate, this situation will only get worse. By 2025, two-thirds of the world’s population may face water shortages. And ecosystems around the world will suffer even more.

Atmospheric water generators offer a sustainable water source; however, balancing energy consumption, complexity, cost, and effectiveness remains crucial for making them accessible to underserved communities.

Our Elegant Solution

The elegant design of the atmospheric water generator aims to provide an intelligent and seamlessly integrated solution. It combines state-of-the-art moisture-absorbing polymers, hydrophobic surfaces, robust carbon-reinforced materials, and straightforward functionality. This system aims to reliably produce safe drinking water and facilitate dehumidification, even in demanding environmental scenarios. 

The components have been validated in laboratory and industrial relevant environments.

AWGs come in various models, offering different water production capacities. These capacities can range from **25 to 5000 liters per day.

AWGs extract humidity from the air, converting it into pure, clean water. They achieve this by using innovative adsorption and cooling-condensation technology or other methods.

-**Portability and Mobility**
AWGs are portable and can operate without a traditional water source. Even in arid desert environments, they can generate water by utilizing natural temperature differences.
